This policy explains how ENGINE REBUILD (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website, ask for a quote or contact us. We are the controller of your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Quote form: your name, phone number, email address (if you give it), vehicle registration, vehicle details (make, model, year, engine size, fuel type, mileage), a description of the problem and your postcode or area if you give it.
  • Vehicle lookup: when you enter a registration, we send it to the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) MOT history service to fill in the make, model and engine details. We only send the registration, not your name or contact details.
  • Calls, WhatsApp and email: what you tell us, your phone number or email address, and any photos or videos you send.
  • Website usage: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser). See our Cookie policy.
  • Security data: to stop spam and abuse, the quote form temporarily records a hashed form of your IP address to limit repeated submissions.
