What happens during an engine rebuild
An engine rebuild keeps your own engine and returns it to good working order. It is a bigger job than a repair, because the whole engine is taken apart rather than just the part that failed.
- Removal. The engine comes out of the car.
- Strip-down. It is taken apart so every part can be seen.
- Inspection. Each part is checked to find what failed and why.
- Replacement. Worn or damaged parts are replaced.
- Rebuild and refit. The engine is put back together, refitted and checked.

It depends on the damage. A repair can fix a single fault, a rebuild suits an engine worth saving, and a replacement makes sense when the engine is beyond sensible repair. We will advise you with your free quote.

You choose 6 months with unlimited miles, or 12 months or 12,000 miles. The option is confirmed in writing with your quote.
